Pros: It works with the generic windows disk driver
Cons: Nothing in particular
Other Thoughts: 50/100 MB/s read/write speed with user benchmark test.
Pros: cant loud windows 10 on this drive format 20 times still no work
Cons: TRASH

Pros: Nothing. It's a typical HDD with marginal disputable advantages.
Cons: I confirm this HDD is highly unreliable. It died way beyond half time into the warranty period. What is frustrating, SMART parameters were fine. Then it just suddenly crashed. Some of the files are only partially readable, 15000 relocated sectors, the speed dropped to 8 MB/s.

Pros: -Very fast, about 4 to 5 times, compared to my old Hard Drive, which was arguably one of the fastest hard drives you can ge
-Slim, should fit any laptop
Cons: -You have to set up the drive through Disk Management, which some people may not know how to do
-It says 2TB, but is missing 190GB, to only total 1.81TB, which is a lot of missing space.
Other Thoughts: It is quite a fast drive for sure, I don't exactly know what the boot speeds would be, as I have a 480gb SSD I boot from, but from moving files from my old hard drive, which is by no means a slow hard drive through a USB 3.0 to SATA Adapter, was maxed while the SSHD was barely trying, and moving files from my SSD over to the SSHD took no time at all.
I would recommend this as a second drive or third depending on your system, as SSD's will always be the best for using as a main boot drive, however, if you can't afford to get a 500gb SSD and or want a ton of space for all your games from either your steam library or where ever else, then I would for sure get this over many other drives. It wont be terrible as a boot drive, as it is much faster then any hard drive, so booting up in theory should be much faster, but not nearly as fast as an SSD. My use for this drive was mainly because I was experiencing a double drive failure in my system, both my old SSD and Hard drive in my 6 year old system were not doing so good anymore, and between those 2, I had less then 1TB of space, so as replacements, I got an SSD with 2 times the storage space (256gb to 480gb) and the 500gb hard drive replaced with this 2TB SSHD, and I only wish I did this back at the start of the year.
So, honestly, if you are planning on upgrading from a Hard Drive but just don't have the money for a large enough SSD, or already have an SSD but want to add a second drive or upgrade that second drive, I would strongly recommend this drive, and even though its for laptops, has not stopped me from using a laptop drive in a desktop before, and there is a desktop version of this drive, so I would imagine it is extremely similar, if not, the same, and the missing 190gb I can honestly live with, and I believe other drives like this are similar to that manner.
Pros: Inexpensive
Well Known Brand
Caches up to 8GB of commonly used programs.
Cons: Not 7200RPM
Doesn't speed up much as you would expect.
Other Thoughts: Formatted usable space is 1.82TB
Pros: I had already installed the 1 TB version of this drive in my PS3 60 gb launch edition, and it went so well, when I got my PS4 Pro on Black Friday, I knew I had to install the 2 TB version on it.
If anything, the process was even easier on the PS4 Pro, mainly because the backup process was quicker. It only took 2 hours to back up 465 GB of data. Probably thanks to the USB 3.0 external hard drive I used for the backup.
Just like my PS3 experience, the more I used an app or played the same game, the startup became progressively faster. About 4 to 5 times seems to be the sweet spot. Netflix opens much faster now, the PS Store opens almost instantaneously. I' ve="" been="" playing="" a="" lot="" of="" tomb="" raider="" the="" definitive="" edition="" for="" the="" past="" month,="" and="" when="" i="" die="" (="" and="" you="" will="" die.="" a="" lot)="" the="" level="" reload="" happens="" much="">
A solid upgrade over the the stock 1 TB drive that comes in the Pro.
Cons: Could be cheaper I guess.
Other Thoughts: Highly recommended drive upgrade for the PS3 and PS4/PS4 Pro. You'll like it !!
April 2019 Update: Drive is still going strong. I've almost filled it up, but it still works like a champ. Highly recommended drive !
Pros: I have gtav conan battlefield 1 and a few other big games along with smaller ones and have 35 games installed with 900gb of free space.
Cons: Its a bit small for the hd bay so u have to hold it just right to get the screws lined up properly
Other Thoughts: I would highly recommend this sshd
We regret to hear about your experience with the FireCuda drive. We’re certainly sorry you’ve encountered this circumstance. However, we’re hoping to lend a helping hand and offer some assistance which may resolve the issue. From what we understand, the drive is no longer working.
In your situation, we would suggest the following steps:
Try connecting the drive to another port on the motherboard.
You may also try using different SATA cables.
Verify if the drive detects within the BIOS.
Try connecting the drive to another computer to see how it reacts.
